Summary
Located near the city of Sturgeon Bay, Potawatomi State Park is a "must-see" of Door County. Sprawling across 1200 acres, the landscape of the park consists of a rolling terrain accented by steep slopes and limestone cliffs. Visitors enjoy fishing from the accessible pier, launching boats, camping, hiking, biking, picnicking and climbing the observation tower for a view 225 feet above bay level. The wide variety of plants, flowers, animals and birds is also an attraction for many visitors. Camping reservations are encouraged and can be made up to 11 months in advance before the date of occupancy. Camping seasons typically run spring through fall. A vehicle admission sticker is required for any motor vehicles brought into the property. A camper without an annual sticker will need to buy one daily sticker for each night of camping. Free daily stickers are available for vehicles towed or carried into the property by a vehicle with a purchased sticker. Ask at the entrance station when you arrive.
